FROM ROGER VIVIER TO KARDINALE
I just realize that I didn’t own a paper of royal loafer shoes yet, it’s crazy how many pairs of shoes I have in my closet (and outside closet) but totally forgotten to fill some of the wearable styles. Men shoes has degree of detention to it compared to women shoes, that in the market we can only find low cut or high cuts. But collections from the runway breaks down all the style norms. Which is like most of the retail brands or labels tends to go further into producing one-of-a-kind creations.
So the other night I dropped by at Bloomingdales Dubai Mall to attend the exclusive launching of Kardinale Spring/Summer 2013 loafers collection, with of course the designer (sooo good looking) Fernando Pensato Jr. The luxe brand also celebrating its 40th years of heritage of craftsmanship and authenticity. The brand has the refreshing ideas on bringing an amazing range of loafers, that are actually made form the finest materials. Kardinale tapestry is to play with rich materials and details, such as the elegant embroideries and patches, making polished and intricate design possibilities up close.
Meanwhile, I also visited Level Shoe District for the opening of the first ever Roger Vivier‘s boutique in the Middle-East, actually it’s the 14th store worldwide of the Parisian brand. Known for creating the first Stiletto heels and couture footwear designer for Christian Dior from 1953-1963. He made the footwear of Ava Gardner, Gloria Guinness, The Beatles and Queen Elizabeth II for her coronation in 1953.
The brand is known for its rich and detailed stilettos made from silks, pearls, beads, lace, appliques, and jewels. His most iconic design, is the Pilgrim pumps with silver buckles.
The current collection carries the classic and elegant pieces of Roger Vivier’s signature styles. The styles that can covers fashionista in any age because of it’s timeless design, a great piece to include in your wardrobe.
